Property and Projects Assistant

18-month fixed-term post to support the delivery of projects, asset management and property and lease-related work

37 hours per week

Salary scale SCP 17-22

£28,770 to £31,364

Lyme Regis Town Council owns and manages an extensive range of local commercial, investment and operational assets, generating an annual income of over £1.5m, including car parks, shops and a caravan and chalet park

The council is also embarking on a wide range of property-related projects with a combined cost approaching £1m.

The council is looking for someone who can work alongside the deputy town clerk to support him in the delivery of these projects and the ongoing management of the council’s assets, including all aspects of rent review, lease renewal, the updating of records, liaising with tenants, etc.

The ideal candidate will be a good communicator with a positive ‘can do’ attitude and a willingness to learn new skills. Some experience of property-related work would be advantageous, but not essential.
