Residents' concessions

This permit is available to residents who live in the town of Lyme Regis and pay their council tax to Dorset Council. You will not be issued with a paper permit as we have now moved to virtual permits. The enforcement officers will be able to scan your number plate, which will tell them whether you have a permit.

The permit provides free parking anytime at Woodmead, Cabanya and Monmouth Beach car parks from 1 November each year to the Thursday before Easter.

Residents can also obtain a parking clock, which provides free parking for up to two hours (one use per day) at any time at Woodmead, Cabanya and Monmouth Beach car parks. It also allows free parking between 6pm and 9pm from the beginning of April until the end of October in all three car parks. Clocks can be obtained from the council office.

As proof of residency you must upload the vehicle registration document (V5) and a Dorset Council council tax bill showing the same Lyme Regis address. Please note this is not available to Uplyme residents who pay their council tax to East Devon District Council.

Read our 'how to' guide of renewing your residents' concessionary permit.

Please note that there is a £10.00 admin fee for replacement parking clocks.
