Aim
To try to ensure the long-term interests of the town as a whole are taken into account in policies and decisions of the Town, District and County Councils, insofar as planning issues are concerned
To make recommendations direct to West Dorset District Council on planning applications
To make recommendations to Full Council, and where appropriate other committees of the Town Council, on issues affecting planning
Public Participation
The public's attendance and participation at meetings of the Planning & Highways Committee is welcome. Each meeting commences with a 15 minute session in which members of the public can speak in relation to an item on the published agenda
