Lyme Regis is the most westerly town in Dorset and is a vibrant coastal resort set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site.

Conclusion of audit 

THE council has achieved a clean audit for the year ended 31 March 2017. Formal notice of conclusion of the audit was received from the external auditors, BDO, which shows there are no matters which require further action. The certified annual return will be presented to the Full Council on 20 September 2017 for approval.

In its report, BDO said: “On the basis of our review of the annual return, in our opinion the information in the annual return is in accordance with proper practices and no matters have come to or attention giving us cause for concern that relevant legislation and regulatory requirements have not been met.

Staff vacancy
