Cleansing Operative
Full-time, immediate start, seasonal variations.
- November to February – 27 hours a week, Friday to Monday, 6.45am-2pm
- March, April, September and October – 37 hours a week, Thursday to Monday, 6.30am-2.30pm
- May to August – 47 hours a week, every day except Tuesday, 6am-2.30pm
Salary: SCP 3-5 (£24,796 - £25,583), plus a supplement of 60p per hour to achieve the Real Living Wage.
This role involves keeping the parks, open spaces and other areas maintained by Lyme Regis Town Council clean and clear of litter and general caretaking.

Gardener/maintenance Person
37 hours’ per week, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm
29.6 hours’ per week, Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4pm
Salary: SCP 10-13 (£27,694 - £29,064) (pro-rata for part-time)
Lyme Regis Town Council has two vacancies within its gardening team, one full-time and one part-time.
As part of the busy external works’ team, these roles involve the care and maintenance of the council’s gardens, open spaces and properties, and use of machinery and equipment.
The successful applicant should have reasonable physical fitness, practical common sense, the willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions, and good communication skills.

Amenities' Assistant
Immediate start, permanent position with seasonal variations
Salary: £13.47 per hour
- April to June, September and October - Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 9am to 1.30pm
- July and August - Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 9am to 3pm
- November to March - Saturday and Sunday, 10am to 4pm
This role involves managing the council’s amenities’ facility in the Lister Gardens, taking payment, and issuing tickets and equipment for mini golf and table tennis
There are set hours but there may be the possibility of other shifts to cover colleague absence and school holidays
