Concessions and busking

Seafront concessions

We offer various seafront concessions which may operate between March and October each year on the beach, seafront or gardens. They are usually granted for one or three years.

SEASONAL SEAFRONT AND BEACH CONCESSIONS
MARCH TO OCTOBER

Lyme Regis Town Council invites tenders for concession sites for the following activities on the town’s seafront and beaches:

Trampolines - Front Beach on the sand/shingle close to the jetty

Childrens’ games and activities - Front Beach, Marine Parade, public gardens

Arts and crafts - Front Beach, Marine Parade, public gardens

The council will consider offers for a one-year tender for 2026, or a three-year tender from 2026 to 2028, but offers should be made separately.

Tender forms and conditions of operation can be downloaded below or requested from adrianne.mullins@lymeregistowncouncil.gov.uk

Tenders must be returned, preferably by email, to the address above, by midday on Thursday 5 February. Applications will be considered at a council meeting on Wednesday 11 February.

Busking

We allow buskers to perform at specific locations on the seafront and in the gardens.

You will need to apply to the council for a permit, which is valid for six months, and inform us in advance when you would like to busk. Two passport-sized photographs are required for the permit.

The three busking locations are: Cobb Gate end of Marine Parade, opposite the performance area (Marine Parade Shelters), and junction of Langmoor and Lister Gardens.
