Concessions and busking

Seafront concessions

We offer various seafront concessions which may operate between March and October each year on the beach, seafront or gardens. They are usually granted for one or three years.

We are currently inviting tenders for the following concessions for a one-year period in 2020 or a three-year period from 2020-22:

  • Trampolines (or similar)
  • Deckchairs
  • Children's games and activities
  • Arts and crafts

Tenders must be returned by 12 noon on Monday 13 January 2020 in a sealed envelope marked with the relevant concession, specifying the length of the tender.

The council reserves the right to accept or reject any tender.

Busking

We allow buskers to perform at specific locations on the seafront and in the gardens.

You will need to apply to the council for a permit, which is valid for three months, and inform us in advance when you would like to busk. Two passport-sized photographs are required for the permit.

The four busking locations are: Cobb Gate end of Marine Parade, performance area (Marine Parade Shelters), corner of Cart Road by Jane’s Café, and junction of Langmoor and Lister Gardens.
