Concessions and busking

Seafront concessions

We offer various seafront concessions which may operate between March and October each year on the beach, seafront or gardens. They are usually granted for one or three years.

All our concessions are currently allocated, but the following details the types of concession and when they will next be available:

  • Trampolines (or similar) - 2020
  • Deckchairs - 2020
  • Hair braiding and henna tattooing - 2021
  • Arts and crafts - 2020
  • Children's games and activities - 2020
  • Non-motorised watersports - 2022

Busking

We allow buskers to perform at specific locations on the seafront and in the gardens.

You will need to apply to the council for a permit, which is valid for three months, and inform us in advance when you would like to busk. Two passport-sized photographs are required for the permit.

The four busking locations are: Cobb Gate end of Marine Parade, performance area (Marine Parade Shelters), corner of Cart Road by Jane’s Café, and junction of Langmoor and Lister Gardens.
