URGENT TEMPORARY ONE-WAY CLOSURE OF VARIOUS ROADS, LYME REGIS
DORSET COUNCIL has issued a Notice under Section 14 [2] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended. The Notice is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 31 October 2023 and remain in force for five days, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 02 November 2023.
This Notice will enable South West Water safe access to carry out urgent works to replace dangerous service cover.
The effect of this Notice is as follows:
[1] To revoke two way traffic flow along COOMBE STREET, LYME REGIS between its junction with Monmouth Street and its junction with Hill Road, as indicated by signs on site.
[2] To impose temporary one way traffic flow northbound along COOMBE STREET, LYME REGIS between its junction with Monmouth Street and its junction with Hill Road, as indicated by signs on site.
[3] To revoke two way traffic flow along HILL ROAD, LYME REGIS between its junction with Coombe Street and its junction with B3165 as indicated by signs on site.
[4] To impose temporary one way traffic flow westbound along HILL ROAD, LYME REGIS between its junction with Coombe Street and its junction with B3165 as indicated by signs on site.
