THE traditional Blessing of the Boats ceremony takes place on Rogation Sunday.
The service will be hosted as usual by Lyme Regis RNLI outside the boathouse at The Cobb at 3pm.
Rev Chris Martin will conduct the service, assisted by Alan Vian from Lyme Regis Baptist Church.
Lyme Regis Gig Club will provide an escort, leading the lifeboat crew out of the harbour to lay wreaths to commemorate those lost at sea.
Coastguards, Lyme Regis Sailing Club, the Sea School, the Boat Building Academy, the Powerboat Club and the Royal British Legion will all be represented.
