Changes proposed to West Dorset parliamentary constituency

CHANGES have been proposed to the West Dorset parliamentary constituency and the public are being asked to comment.

The Boundary Commission for England (BCE) is required by Parliament to undertake an independent and impartial review of all constituencies in England, to rebalance the number of electors in each constituency.

The Commission has listened to the feedback sent in from the public and made significant changes to the initial proposals published last year.

BCE has released revised proposals for new parliamentary constituencies and launched a final public consultation at https://www.bcereviews.org.uk/ with a closing date of 5 December 2022.

Some changes have been proposed to the West Dorset constituency and the existing and proposed boundaries can be seen on the website.
