It's time to go quackers for a great cause! The charity duck race is back on Friday 31 October, raising funds for Pancreatic Cancer UK.
Hundreds of bright yellow ducks will take to the River Lym in Lyme Regis at midday, setting off from Higher Mills Flats and racing downstream towards the finish line at Jordan Flats. Along the way, they will paddle past Windsor Terrace, tackle the weir at Woodmead Road Bridge, and wind their way past Lymbrook Cottages and Jericho to the finish line at Jordan Flats.
The race is organised by Adrianne Mullins in aid of Pancreatic Cancer UK, helping to raise money to reach her fundraising target for her London Marathon event in 2026.
The charity raises awareness and vital funds for research into one of the toughest forms of cancer.
There are cash prizes up for grabs for the winning ducks:
1st place - £100
2nd place - £50
3rd place - £20
And even the last duck home wins £10!
Let's get a big crowd out to support this charity duck race, and raise as much money as possible! It is sure to be a fun-filled community event, and supporting a fantastic cause.
