NOTICE of election for a Lyme Regis town councillor has been given today (Monday 29 March).
Nominations for the vacancy must be hand delivered to Dorset Council’s returning officer by 4pm on Thursday 8 April.
If there is more than one candidate, a poll will take place on Thursday 6 May.
Nominations must be returned to the returning officer, South Walks House, South Walks Road, Dorchester, Dorset, DT1 1UZ between 9.30am and 4pm on any working day.
Candidates must make an appointment to deliver their nomination papers by calling electoral services on 01305 838299.
Nomination papers can be downloaded from the Electoral Commission website or obtained from the address above.
Applications to register to vote can be made online and must reach the electoral registration officer by midnight on Monday 19 April.
