Lyme in Bloom 2026
Entries are now invited for the Lyme in Bloom competition, showcasing the best floral displays in the town.
The council announced last year that it would revive the competition, which was last held in 2013.
Green-fingered gardeners are encouraged to enter the competition, with categories for both residents and businesses, all sizes and types of displays, and a special category for children.
The categories are as follows:
- All businesses
- Courtyard/patio gardens
- Larger gardens
- Smaller gardens
- Window boxes and containers
- Hanging baskets
- Children’s gardens
Judging will take place in July 2026 by a panel of horticultural experts and the winners and runners-up will be invited to a prize-giving ceremony at the Guildhall.
The mayor, Cllr Philip Evans said: “I know there are many talented gardeners in Lyme Regis, who will be quietly tending to their gardens, baskets and pots all year round, some on public display and others hidden behind gates and hedges.
“We hope the competition will allow us to have a glimpse into some of the wonderful outside spaces in the town and celebrate the creativity and talent of residents and businesses who work hard to make Lyme bloom.”
