EMERGENCY TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF A3052, LYME REGIS
Dorset Council has issued a Notice under Section 14 [2] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended.
All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along A3052, LYME REGIS between the entrance to Cobb Gate car park and the entrance to Drakes Way, a distance of approximately 40 metres. The Notice is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise likelihood of danger to highway users.
It came in to operation on 08 November 2023 and can remain in force for up to 21 days.
This Notice will allow for a safe working area for scaffolding following deterioration of masonry on a property.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed section.
