Arts, culture and creativity are at the heart of what makes Dorset a vibrant, inspiring place to live, work and visit. From local festivals and theatre to heritage projects, galleries and creative industries, culture touches all our lives, and now YOU have the chance to help shape its future.
The Arts Development Company is leading the creation of a new Dorset Cultural Strategy that will guide how arts and culture grow across the county over the coming years.
To make sure the strategy reflects the voices of the people across Dorset's communities, a public survey has been launched.
Whether you work or volunteer in the cultural sector in Dorset, or you attend cultural activities, venues and events in Dorset, your views matter.
Why take part?
- Help set priorities for arts and culture in Dorset
- Influence opportunities for young people, local artists and community groups
- Support the role of culture in wellbeing, education, tourism and the local economy
- Ensure Lyme Regis and other smaller communities are represented
Anyone that completes the survey has the chance to receive a £50 voucher to spend at a Dorset cultural event or venue of their choice.
The survey takes just a few minutes to complete and is open until 5pm on Wednesday 8 October 2025.
