PROPOSED TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF SHERBORNE LANE, LYME REGIS

Dorset Council have received an application from Openreach to close SHERBORNE LANE, LYME REGIS between its junction with B3165 and number 10, Sherborne Lane, a distance of approximately 70 metres.

The closure has been requested to allow Openreach to provide fibre underground cabling.

These works are programmed to commence between 0930 and 1530 on 25 March 2026.

Openreach will publicise the road closure in a number of ways: they will place information boards on the road in this area to inform the travelling public of the works; they will carry out a letter drop to local residents directly affected by the works.

The following map shows the extent of the closure, resident and pedestrian access will be maintained.

This document is for information only, however if you have any concerns about this proposal, please contact Izzy Rowland,
(trafficteam@dorsetcouncil.gov.uk) by 11 March 2026.
