PROPOSED TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF SILVER STREET, LYME REGIS

Dorset Council have notified us of an application from South West Water to close SILVER STREET, LYME REGIS between its junction with West Hill Road and its junction with Haye Lane, a distance of approximately 20 metres.

The closure has been requested to allow South West Water to carry out permanent reinstatement. These works are programmed to commence from 1900 on 16 November 2026 until 0700 on 17 November 2026.

South West Water will publicise the road closure in a number of ways: they will place information boards on the road in this area to inform the travelling public of the works; they will carry out a letter drop to local residents directly affected by the works; and they will sign a vehicular diversion route using the local road network.

If you have any concerns about this proposal, please contact Izzy

Rowland, (trafficteam@dorsetcouncil.gov.uk) by 08 November 2026.
