NOMINATIONS are invited for the town councillor vacancy in Lyme Regis.
Dorset Council has today (Thursday 8 October) given notice of an election and outlined the process for nominations to be submitted.
The vacancy on Lyme Regis Town Council was triggered by the resignation of Cllr Neil Hampton-Rumbold in August.
Nomination papers can be obtained from Dorset Council or the Electoral Commission website and must submitted no later than 4pm on Friday 16 October.
Papers must be hand delivered to the returning officer, Dorset Council, County Hall, Colliton Park, Dorchester, Dorset, DT1 1XJ between 10am and 4pm on any working day.
An appointment must be made to deliver the nomination papers using an online booking form, calling Electoral Services on 01305 838299 or emailing elections@dorsetcouncil.gov.uk.
If there are two or more candidates, the poll will take place on Thursday 12 November.
