TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF COOMBE STREET, LYME REGIS

Dorset Council has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along COOMBE STREET, LYME REGIS between its junction with A3052 and 40a Coombe Street, a distance of approximately 65 metres.

The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users.

It will come into operation on 27 April 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 25 May 2026.

This Order will enable contractors, Roddy Donahugh, Hugh Duncan, Russell Foster and Chris Sheehan to carry out works to 4 properties on Coombe Street including scaffolding.

The alternative route, which will be sign posted is as follows; Monmouth Street - A3052

For further information about the work being undertaken and access arrangements, call the contractor on 07905 335572.
