TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF HILL ROAD, LYME REGIS DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended.
All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along HILL ROAD, LYME REGIS between Coppers Knapp and Mill Green, a distance of approximately 60 metres.
The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users.
The Order came into operation on 21 October 2024 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed between 16 October 2025 and 23 October 2025.
This Order will enable Duncan Goldsmith Property Developers to carry out utility connections.
The alternative route, which will be sign posted is as follows; Coombe Street - Monmouth Street - A3052 - B3165
