Biography
Although I wasn’t born in Lyme Regis, it’s the place I’ve always called home.
I left Woodroffe School in 1986 to become a chef at the Cobb Arms, before joining the Royal Corps of Signals in 1989. I served for nine years, including deployments to the Gulf War, Northern Ireland, and two tours in Bosnia—one as a UN Peacekeeper.
After leaving the Army in 1998, I moved into telecommunications, working for several ISPs including Virgin Media. I began my relationship with my wife Sarah in 2002, and we married in 2005. We have three children: Alex (27), who attended Colyton Grammar, and Jevan (20) and Katie (18), who both went to Woodroffe.
I’m currently a Burnham Lecturer, having earned a Computer Science Honours degree and a PGCE in Education. Football has always been part of my life—I played for Uplyme and Lyme Regis—and no matter where work or service has taken me, Lyme has always been home.
As a councillor, I’m committed to working hard for this town and the people who make it such a special place.
