THE date of the Red Arrows’ display in Lyme Regis this summer has changed, it has been confirmed.
The RAF aerobatic display team is returning to the town for their first appearance in Lyme Regis in nine years.
The display was originally scheduled for Saturday 15 August, but has now been moved to Sunday 16 August due to the Arrows’ other engagements.
It has also been confirmed the display will start at 11.30am, so the public are urged to arrive in Lyme Regis in good time as it is expected to be the town’s busiest day.
As previously announced, Lyme Regis Town Council is bringing the Red Arrows to Lyme Regis to mark the 200th anniversary of a lifeboat in Lyme Regis.
The event will feature on the second day of Lyme Regis Lifeboat Week, which takes place from 15 to 23 August.
The mayor of Lyme Regis, Cllr Philip Evans said: “We are very excited that the Red Arrows will be returning to Lyme Regis this summer and are happy to move the display to Sunday 16 August to make it happen.
“The display will still be part of the Lifeboat Week programme, celebrating two centuries of the lifesaving service in Lyme Regis.
“We can expect an absolutely thrilling day in Lyme Regis when the Red Arrows are here and I am thoroughly looking forward to it.”
The town council made the application to the RAF in September 2025, agreeing to contribute up to £10,000 towards the cost of the event.
Cllr Evans is also helping to meet the costs of the display by relaunching the 100 Club, which was previously set up to raise funds for Red Arrows’ displays in 2016 and 2017.
Membership is £100 and there will be a 20% discount for former members and for couples, with all members receiving a special Red Arrows tie or silk scarf, as well as an exclusive lapel badge.
Members will also be invited to attend a VIP champagne reception to watch the Red Arrows from a vantage point on the seafront.

Petrina Muscroft, chairman of the Lyme Regis Lifeboat Management Group, said: “It’s an honour and a privilege to enjoy the spectacular Red Arrows during Lyme Regis RNLI’s 200th year of celebrations.
“We are very proud of the town’s support for the lifeboat and thank the council in making this event possible.”
