LYME Regis Sea School is fully prepared for a summer on the water.
The town council supported the organisation with a £1,000 community grant, which funded spares for its Fusion 2 dinghies.
Lyme Regis Sea School Trust chairman Jo Law said: “Lyme Regis Sea School would like to thank Lyme Regis Town Council for their generous £1,000 grant to purchase spares for our Fusion 2 dinghies.
“This means we are prepared in advance if anything breaks and our lessons will not be disrupted by not being able to use the dinghies we need to when running our courses.
“The large majority of our students and staff are local to this area, which means a lot to sea school.
“Additionally, we liaise with Woodroffe School and the various scouting groups close to us, to offer affordable sailing packages to everyone who would like to try the sport.
“The support from Lyme Regis Town Council enables us to carry on with these objectives, so thanks again.”
