ADVENTURES await a local Explorers unit as they take to the water on new paddleboards.
A £500 grant from Lyme Regis Town Council helped the Powder Monkeys Explorer Sea Scout Unit invest in five paddleboards.
The Explorers invited councillors to the beach as they launched the paddleboards for the first time and were joined on the water by Cllr Gill Stammers.
Unit leader Sarah Dean said: “We were thrilled to be able to purchase five stand up paddleboards (SUP) for the unit with the generous grant donated to us by the Lyme Regis Town Council.
“These have enabled us to expand the range of water sports we can offer, with the SUP sessions we have run this year being thoroughly enjoyed by the Explorers. Thank you very much for your support.”
