Support the campaign to redesignate Church Cliff Beach as a bathing beach

THE campaign to re-designate Church Cliff Beach as a bathing beach has been launched and the public are asked to show their support.

The River Lim Action Group (RLAG) is applying for the beach to be redesignated, with the aim of improving water quality and cleaning up sources of pollution.

To support the bathing water application, the RLAG is asking the public to complete a short online survey.

The town council is fully behind the RLAG’s campaign so please take the time to complete the survey to help demonstrate wider community support.

For those who are unsure, Church Cliff Beach is to the east of the town, below the Mary Anning statue and the Marine Theatre, adjacent to the mouth of the River Lim.

Due to its proximity to the river, water quality in the Lim also affects the water quality at the beach.

The survey is open until mid-September and can be found at  https://forms.gle/JEGVRvhj9cX9p92S9
