A FAMILIAR face at Lyme Regis Town Council has taken on a new role, with the appointment of Adrianne Mullins as deputy town clerk.
Adrianne has been part of the council team for more than 13 years, having first joined as administrative officer in July 2013. She became support services manager in April 2020 before stepping up to assistant town clerk in May 2025.
Her latest appointment sees her become deputy town clerk and continue as a key member of the council’s senior management team.
Over the years, Adrianne’s role has grown considerably.
As well as overseeing the council’s administrative function, she is responsible for human resources and advises on governance matters, while producing the agendas and minutes which underpin council meetings and decision-making.
Her remit also extends well beyond the council chamber.
Adrianne manages the council’s communications, public relations and social media, as well as its tourism and marketing work.
She is also the editor of LymeLiving, working alongside communications officer Cara Austin to produce this magazine and share the news, stories and people behind life in Lyme Regis.
Having worked across so many areas of the council during her career, Adrianne brings extensive knowledge of both the organisation and the town to her new position.
Her appointment comes as part of a new chapter for the council’s senior leadership team, following the departure of former town clerk John Wright and the appointment of the new town clerk Mark Green.
Adrianne said: “I am very pleased to be appointed as the new deputy town clerk and look forward to working with Mark and the wider team to continue making improvements for the town.
“There are lots of exciting projects coming up and inevitably some challenges, and I hope we can build on our work within the community.
“I am not only a council employee, I am also a resident, a volunteer and a parent within this community, and I want the very best for it.”
