PREPARE for singalong favourites and showstopping scenes on the seafront as open-air cinema returns this summer – rescheduled from earlier this year!
The event was scheduled to take place on Saturday 2 May but due to bad weather, it was cancelled and will now take place on Saturday 18 July.
We asked and you decided – this year’s film is the much-loved musical blockbuster, The Greatest Showman.
Starting at 7pm, the big screen will this year take centre stage on the sandy beach.
This year we are bringing a LED screen to Lyme Regis and moving the event to the beach, which means we will be able to start the showing a bit earlier in the evening for families to enjoy.
The event offers a chance to enjoy watching a film, outdoors, in a truly unique setting, with your toes in the sand.
The Greatest Showman, inspired by the story of showman and entertainer PT Barnum, is known for its uplifting soundtrack, colourful performances and feel-good energy, making it a perfect choice for families to enjoy.
Audiences are encouraged to bring along blankets and an evening picnic, settle in on the sand, and enjoy the show.
Lyme Rocks will be serving up sweat treats in true cinema style and keep your eyes peeled for ice creams from Baboo’s old fashioned usherette trays.
Further details about timings and practical arrangements will be shared closer to the event – keep an eye on our socials for updates.
So, mark your calendars, gather your friends and family, and get ready for an evening of music, storytelling and movie magic, all under the open sky.
