Dorset Police are asking Dorset residents if they would be willing to pay an extra £13 a year (£1.08* a month) to help fund the Force for 2024/25. Typically, just over half of Dorset Police’s total budget comes from central Government with the majority of the remainder raised through council tax contributions, known as the policing precept.
