PROPOSED TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF VARIOUS ROADS, LYME REGIS
We have received information from Dorset Council regarding an application from SGN to close VARIOUS ROADS, LYME REGIS; SOUTH AVENUE, LYME REGIS between its junction with North Avenue and its junction with Colway Lane, a distance of approximately 175 metres.
These works are programmed to commence from 19 January 2026 until 13 February 2026.
COLWAY LANE, LYME REGIS between its junction with Manor Avenue and the entrance to Slopes Farm, a distance of approximately 185 metres.
These works are programmed to commence from 02 February 2026 until 13 February 2026.
The closures have been requested to allow SGN to carry out gas mains replacement.
SGN will publicise the road closure in a number of ways: they will place information boards on the road in this area to inform the
travelling public of the works; they will carry out a letter drop to local residents directly affected by the works; and they will sign a
vehicular diversion route using the local road network. The following map shows the extent of the closure and the diversion route.
