LYME Regis Sausage and Cider Festival returns to Davey Fort this July for its ninth year.

The event at Lyme Regis Football Club on Saturday 4 July will bring a full day of live music, food, drink and family entertainment.

The popular community event has grown in popularity, raising vital funds for grassroots football in Lyme Regis.

This year’s festival promises one of its biggest entertainment line-ups yet, with live music throughout the day and evening.

Festival-goers can expect carnival energy from Blackdown Samba Band, feel-good acoustic favourites from Jess and Finn, party-starting pop hits from local duo Guilty Pleasure, and performances from local music charity B Sharp's House Band and the Gaz Chatterton Collective.

Headlining the festival are Riviera Dogs, a high-energy band guaranteed to transport audiences straight back to the 1980s with a set packed full of iconic hits, big singalongs and retro party atmosphere.

DJs from Lyme Bay Radio will also be keeping the festival atmosphere going throughout the day.

As always, food and drink will be at the heart of the festival.

The cider bar will feature a wide variety of flavours ranging from traditional favourites to tropical blends, alongside a fully stocked bar.

As well as the football club's famous sausage barbecue, visitors will also be able to enjoy a range of food throughout the day, including ice cream, sweet and savoury crepes, cakes, pastries and hot drinks, with pizza, curry, burgers and loaded fries available later in the evening.

The festival is designed to be family-friendly, with kids' entertainment including a bouncy castle, face painting and The Lovely Bubble Show.

Organisers say the festival is about much more than food and music.

“This festival is all about bringing people together for a fantastic summer day while supporting grassroots football in Lyme Regis,” said festival organiser and football club vice-chairman Francesca Evans.

“We’re incredibly grateful to all the local businesses, volunteers and attendees who help make it possible every year. Every ticket sold helps support Lyme Regis Football Club and grassroots sport locally, while also bringing people together for a fantastic summer day.”

This year’s event also forms part of Lyme Regis Town Council’s Sporting Lyme Festival, which celebrates sporting organisations and activities across the town between May and September.

The festival is proudly supported by a number of local businesses, including headline sponsor The Bagel Shop Lyme Regis.

Lyme Regis Sausage and Cider Festival takes place from 2pm to 11pm.
