Skateboards, spectacular tricks and plenty of fun will return to Lyme Regis this September as the annual Skate Jam event takes place.
The event at Lyme Regis Skatepark in Charmouth Road Car Park on Saturday 5 September promises an exciting day of competition, entertainment and live demonstrations.
Skaters, BMXers and scooter riders of all ages and abilities are invited to one of the town's most popular community spaces for the event from 11am to 4pm.
Whether you are taking part of simply want to enjoy the atmosphere from the sidelines, you can expect an electric energy as riders battle it out across three competition categories: under 16s, 16 and over, and the crowd-favourite best trick, with prizes up for grabs throughout the day.
The competition entry fee is just £1.
Adding to the excitement, professional skateboarders Eddie Belvedere and Alex Hallford will be making special guest appearances, giving local riders the opportunity to see top-level skateboarding up close, meet the pros and draw inspiration from some of the sport's rising talent.
Sponsored by Frontside Clothing, Studio Horizons, Yew and Big Ronda's, there will be music, food, a raffle, impressive displays of skill and a welcoming atmosphere.
