This month, council staff and volunteer bus drivers and passenger assistants took part in Emergency First Aid at Work training, building essential lifesaving skills to help keep our community safe.
The training, delivered by David Brush of SSG Training and Consultancy Ltd, covered a wide range of practical first aid skills, including CPR, managing choking incidents, wound care, recovery position and responding to common workplace emergencies.
The course equips participants with the confidence and knowledge to act quickly and calmly should an emergency arise, whether in the workplace or while out in the community.
For our volunteer bus drivers and passenger assistants, who provide an invaluable service to residents through the Lyme Link bus service, this training adds another level of reassurance for passengers, ensuring that help is close at hand if ever needed.
Both internal and external council staff took part in the training, reinforcing the commitment to maintaining a safe and supportive environment for everyone who lives, works and visits Lyme Regis.
A big thank you to David for delivering the training, and thank you to the staff and volunteers who took part.
