This week, our maintenance team were hard at work clearing furniture and equipment from the old council office premises, marking the next step in the council's move to its new base.
As always, the team went the extra mile, not just managing the council's own move but also lending a hand to the community. Some of the filing cabinets at the old office had been requested for use by St Michael's church, and the team assisted the church by helping to move the heavy filing cabinets to their new home.
It was a great example of the hands-on, can-do attitude the council is proud of, supporting local organisations wherever possible.
