LYME Regis will usher in the festive season with the switching on of the Christmas lights on Saturday 26 November.
The event starts with the lantern-making workshop at the Pine Hall, Lyme Regis Baptist Church at 2pm.
This is a free event and prizes will be awarded for the best lanterns in each age category with judging taking place at 4pm. Lanterns made at home are welcome to enter the competition.
The lantern parade will make its way down Broad Street from around 5pm, joined by Lyme Regis Majorettes, Santa, the Mayor, and the town crier.
The parade will make its way to the Christmas tree at The Shambles for the switch on at around 5.30pm.
